Warwick Trails Group

The all-volunteer Warwick Trails Group:

  • Maintains some of Warwick’s town-owned trails.
  • Hikes and maps existing trails.
  • Describes and maps suggested hikes.
  • Plans and creates new trails.
  • Leads hikes in Warwick.

We generally meet to do trail work on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 4 p.m. (3 p.m. in the winter months) at various locations around town. Group-led hikes are generally scheduled on the third Sunday of the month at 1 p.m.

When hiking in Warwick:

  • Be aware that cell phone service is not always available.
  • Be sure to know where you are going and stay on the trail.
  • Wear footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather. Note that trails may be steep and slippery; good hiking boots or hiking shoes, not sneakers, are recommended.
  • Always bring water, regardless of the time of year.
  • Wear bug repellent as appropriate.
  • Be aware that some trails allow snowmobiles.
  • Know when it is hunting season. You may want to wear something orange.
    • Note: Hunting is not allowed in Massachusetts on Sundays.
  • But most of all, enjoy the trails!
