  4. Old Business
    • A. Bulky Waste Scale Update
Mankowsky said he spoke with Dave Eckland with Graves Concrete in Winchester, NH regarding the concrete for the scale pad. Mr. Ekland said they are currently producing concrete at $170-$200 yard depending on what PSI weight is chosen. Normal weight is 5,000 PSI, at a 6” thickness. Mankowsky said in most cases a one ton truck would be the heaviest vehicle to drive on it. The scale pad would be 12’ x 30’. The Commission also discussed pouring a pad at the same time for the attendant’s shed to sit on.
Mankowsky is working with Dynasty Scale Co. for a scale with four pads; readout printer and a remote readout screen so it can be see the weights. The unit comes with a cart for easy storage. The pad would be poured next to the attendant’s shed.
    • B. Sign Posting, Speed Sign
Last month, Jan Ameen had said the county jail can make up signs for the transfer station. Mankowsky checked with Police Chief Shoemaker about the speed sign. He said a 5 MPH sign in a parking area was fine. Mankowsky will check with Jan to see if the jail can make up the signs. Whitney said he would like to post one way signs for traffic flow, possibly a stop sign before the gate exit to allow oncoming traffic in. Commission members were fine with the one way signs, Whitney will check with highway to see if they had any old one way signs they would part with.
