2020-09-01 State Primary Results

Thank you to everyone who voted yesterday, whether by mail or in person. And a huge special thank you to the poll workers who helped check people in, and count the ballots at the end of the day.

If you think you’d like to help work the General Election on November 3rd, please send me an email directly!

These results have still not been sent to the State yet, and should be considered unofficial:

SENATOR IN CONGRESS
Joseph Kennedy – 105
Edward Markey – 102
Kevin O’Connor – 19
Shiva Ayyadurai – 14

REPRESENTATIVE IN CONGRESS
James McGovern – 194
Tracy Lyn Lovvorn – 25
Susannah Whipps – 1

COUNCILLOR
Mary Hurley – 188

SENATOR IN GENERAL COURT
Joanne Comerford – 197

REPRESENTATIVE IN GENERAL COURT
William LaRose – 178
Louis Marino – 4
Susannah Whipps – 3

REGISTER OF PROBATE
John Merrigan – 187

I have not included the Blank votes in this tally.

I’ll be sure to send more updates as we get closer to the General Election in November, as there will be Early Voting at Town Hall once again, but the dates are not yet decided. There will be another postcard sent from the State to all registered voters who have not yet opted for a mail-in ballot for November, though I don’t know when that will be mailed. If you already returned a postcard requesting a ballot to be mailed to you for the General Election on Nov 3, you’re all set.

Voting early either in person or by mail greatly reduces the strain on our election site during a pandemic – please vote early if you can.
