- Town Coordinator Hiring Update
- Ross updated the Board regarding the Town Coordinator hiring process. Delisle and Ross negotiated the offer after clarification that they would handle negotiations and Young would perform a CORI check, rather than following the previous minutes’ incorrect assignments. The candidate, Lizzie Alwan, rejected their first offer of $66,000 because she already makes more in her current job, and in addition, will be traveling to Warwick. Subsequently, they reached a salary agreement of $75,000 starting August 3rd, with benefits to be provided through the town’s insurance programs. The Board discussed legal requirements including at-will employment language and the elimination of a previous probationary period, with Genovese confirming Young’s answer that no town employees currently have contracts in place.
- MOTION: Ross moved to offer the position of Town Coordinator to Lizzie Alwan. 2nd Genovese. Snell abstained.
