Meeting minutes 7/9/2024

  • Call to order by D. Ellis 6:06pm
  • Present: D. Ellis, M. Connelly, J. Barber, P. Bellemare, D. Farley, A. Carman, M. Fellows
  • Minutes of 6/11/2024 read and accepted.
  • Treasurer’s report: nothing new to report; current balance $920. 72
  • Boat Parade plans: The parade will be held Sunday 8/25/24 at 2:00pm. Will start at thr beach; boats will gather there and register. Boats will make a circuit of the pond. Spectators will vote; 3 fan favorite prizes will be awarded. A. Carman will make flyers to distribute, M. Connelly will distribute and post flyers. D. Ellis will produce registration and release forms. A Committee member will be leading the parade.
  • Ethics training has been completed by Carman, Bellemare, Farley, Connelly.Deadline is 7/31
  • Water testing for last month had the highest level of colonies since testing began; 53! P. Bellemare will submit an expense report to the Board of Health meeting 7/17/24. Discussed the end of season report that is due to the State of Massachusetts.
  • With regard to the pine tree removal, M. Connelly did speak to David Young regarding this, and plans to speak about it at the next Selectboard meeting. It was reported by P. Bellemare and others that the picnic tables are not getting as much pine pitch on them since the large limb was removed.

New Business:

  • J. Barber plans to do some work on the website to include MPBC.
  • Sanitation Survey: D. Ellis will do some research and getthis going; in particular, what are the requirements, and who willconduct the survey? Philip Ledger completed the survey 2014, the last time it was done. Will the Town pay for the survey to be completed? The discussion was tabled and will be added to next month’s agenda.
  • D. Farley will be absent next month.
  • Next meeting Tuesday August 13 at 6:00 at 12 Sammy Lane
