Meeting Minutes-MPBC
Tuesday, June 11, 2024
- Call to order by D. Ellis 6:06pm
- In Attendance: D. Ellis, J. Barber, D. Farley, A. Carman, P. Bellemare, K. Tuttle-Connelly, M. Connelly, M. Fellows
- Minutes of May meeting read and accepted.
- Treasurer’s Report: No report given, yet it was made know that neither D. Ellis nor P.Bellemare were yet to be paid for last year’s expenses.
- The refinishing of the picnic tables has been completed by the Bellemares with some help and they look terrific.
- New Member Mark Fellows was welcomed.
- The Corregatta this year may be replaced with a boat parade, which will consist of any boat – decorations encouraged – making a circuit of the pond. This will take place at 2:00pm the Sunday afternoon of Old Home Days. A release form must be completed for all participants. K. Tuttle-Connelly will write an article for the Newsletter with regard to this. The event will be called the Boat Parade Extravaganza!
- P. Bellemare has tested the water in June and will be getting results, which will be posted at the kiosk.
- Ethics training must be completed be all members by July 31. The links to the training can be found in the May minutes.
- Beach cleanup was completed and new sand is very nice.
- M. Connelly will follow up on the fate of the pine tree at the beach, which will be cut down.
- A Painted turtle was spotted laying eggs at the beach!
- Next meeting Tuesday, July 9, at 6:00pm
