Minutes August 18 2026 – Town of Warwick MEETINGHOUSE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Meeting at Warwick Town Hall Aug 18, 2026 6:34 pm.
Attending: Members Andrea Woods, David Young, George Day, Jack Cadwell, Jim McRae, John Gagliani, Jim McRae in person. Claudia Lewis and guest Jill Deslile remote. Adrian Paul, Dave Beach, Absent.
- Minutes: David Y moved and John G 2nd, unanimously approved July 21 minutes.

ORGAN
Deb Kent rehearsed twice for the Old Home Days Program to be Aug 22. She says it is not 100% but close. John G videotaped part of it and we can use for publicity. It probably needs a full restoration but not soon.
WINDOW SHADE
John motioned and Andrea W. 2nd to proceed with Roller shade to protect organ for $875, work to be completed by Marcia Dexter. Unanimously voted.
SLATE ROOF
Chris Goddard of Northfield visited the roof with some committee members. He estimates $3,000-$4,000 could upgrade the roof to satisfactory condition. If we want chimney flashing on back, would be more. 12 x 18 slates are needed, some may be available in town. David Y will go to Selectboard to make sure they will approve this expenditure. John G. moved to spend up to $4,000 and Jim 2nd to recommend the expenditure. Voted Unanimously.
FINAL CLEAN UP BEFORE OLD HOME DAYS
Andrea will vac the foyer and anywhere else needed. She has programs printed and a fish bowl with information for donations. George has signage to keep people away from balcony and cellar stairs, and he will tie open the doors for fire egress. He will ask Warwick police for some traffic control. Andrea will pick up flowers for Arline Lincoln, Deb Kent, and Clare Green. Access to building: George Day, Clyde Perkins, Jr. and John Gagliani have keys.
TREE WORK
Ash tree in back needs to be removed, Cody Gibbons has quoted $400. Jim M moved to accept this proposal and Andrea 2nd. Voted unanimously.
HISTORIC DESIGNATION
Eric Gradoia from Northfield has been involved in Mass Historic and Jim M will invite him to a future meeting to discuss pursuing Designation.
DISPOSITION OF LAND
Andrea hopes to connect Ginny and Tom Macy with Keith Ross at Old Home Days to discuss what a Conservation Restriction might look like for their land. No progress with the Holbrook family contact.
OTHER BUSINESS: NONE
Next meeting date was set (post meeting) as SEPTEMBER 15, 2026 AT 6:30PM.
