A meeting of the Warwick Highway Commissioners was held on 3/16/2026 at the Town Hall

Meeting called to order at 4:35pm by RC, TD Seconded
Board read through meeting minutes to be approved.
TD Moved that the Meeting Minutes from 3/02/2026 be moved into the permanent record RC Seconded. All in Favor “Aye” 3-0-0 Passed
Superintendent reports:
Matt D.
Mud season is in full swing. Road signs have been posted with weight limits. Matt has been working with Gregory Brodski on a blanket permit for work in the spring. Indus came up and went around town with Matt to see what needs to be crack sealed. Indus will work on a quote and get it to Matt to turn over to Tracy to file for a Chapter 90 project. Truck 2 is at Porters due to broken springs.
Budget/Grants-
Wheel Excavator grant was approved in the amount of $309,660. The bid process is starting on 3/23/2026 with the Bid opening on 4/06/2026. Tracy to meet with Matt to discuss Fincom ask. Discussion ensued about ask for Fincom. The potential ask for Wages is 3% and General Budget is 3% for a total of 6%.
Discussion ensued on potential next season projects. Lower Wendell Rd is in need of big work and then there is question if Orange will do their half of the road. If Warwick does the work on the towns side what are the chances that it gets closed on the Warwick side. Northfield Rd would be another place that needs some work done. Northfield Rd would be a good option for the STRAP grant.
Matt did speak with the loggers about the mud.
