A meeting of the Warwick Highway Commissioners was held on 5/27/2025 at the Town Hall

Meeting called to order at 4:16 pm by Robert Croke, Vernon Bass Seconded
Waiting on the Like for Like quote from Gill Engineering and then will do the bid package in house to get the project moving. The Committee has already allotted $10,000 for the Like for Like fix while seeking funding to do full replacement. There is no cap on a public works like for like projects.
91 Hastings Heights Rd – Laurette Crane her to discuss the concerns regarding the drainage from the road pouring right into her basement. The pavement has raised over the years and now is draining into her yard and it is ending in her basement. The crown of the road tilts right into her yard towards her basement. One potential solution would be to put a 6in berm on the edge of the road to divert the water.
Robert Croke moved forward with paving the approved 5 roads Athol Rd to #135, Athol Rd Rum Brook to #470, Hotel Rd, 2nd section Richmond Rd, Royalston Rd using Chapter 90 Funds. Vernon Seconded
Flower Hill Rd. on hold until FY2026 funding from Chapter 90 is relased.
Citizen concern that Edwin has been down work for the Highway Barn everyday instead of only being here for grading. The board discussed and agreed that this had been brought up at a prior meeting that Edwin is only supposed to be there to do the Grader and to teach the Highway staff how to run the Grader. David Young to talk with Superintendent to confirm he knows Edwin is not be working everyday down at the Highway Barn.
The Commissioners discussed the timing of the meetings as the newly elected Commission is not able to make the current meeting time of 4pm. After discussion Tracy reached out to Todd to see what his availability would be for zooming.
