The Council on Aging coordinates and carries out programs designed to meet the needs of the town’s elders. The Council works closely with the Franklin County Home Care Corporation and the Massachusetts Department of Elder Affairs in providing needed services (MGL Ch. 40, sec 85).
Six members are appointed for 3 years, with one third appointed annually (adopted under Article 17, Annual Town Meeting May 10, 1982).
