Parking:
There is a parking lot on Hockanum Road about 0.3 miles from the intersection of Orange Road and Hockanum Road, or about 0.5 miles from the intersection of Hockanum Road and Wendell Road.
Description:
This short, lollipop loop hike, marked with silver and blue arrows, rewards you with a nice view of Wheelers Pond. The trail is family-friendly, suitable for all ages and is located entirely on town-owned land.
Starting at the parking lot, go up the Overlook Trail (OT) approximately 0.1 miles until it meets the Karl Quackenbush Trail (KQT). Continue straight on the OT (which has a bench situated about halfway up) or go right on the KQT. Both trails meet at the top of the hill. Sit down on the bench overlooking the pond, relax, and enjoy the view. Proceed down either trail back to the parking lot.
