Parking:
There is a parking lot on Hockanum Road about 0.3 miles from the intersection of Orange Road and Hockanum Road, or about 0.5 miles from the intersection of Hockanum Road and Wendell Road.
Description:
This short hike rewards you with a nice view of Wheelers Pond. The trail is family-friendly, suitable for all ages and is located entirely on town-owned land. There is a bench situated halfway up on the Overlook Trail and another bench at the top of the Overlook Trail.
Starting at the parking lot, go up the wide Overlook Trail (OT) approximately 0.1 miles until it meets the Karl Quackenbush Trail (KQT). Continue straight on the OT or go right on the KQT (marked with silver and blue arrows). Both trails meet at the top of the hill. Sit down on the bench overlooking the pond, relax, and enjoy the view. Proceed down either trail back to the parking lot.
