The Warwick Library is pleased to host the Fall Meeting of the Western New England Chapter of The Association for Gravestone Studies, a non-profit organization based in western Massachusetts. The morning session will run from 10 am to about noon, featuring reports on cemetery and gravestone related topics. The featured speaker is Jason Ur, Professor of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard. Another speaker, Bret Kramer, will report on recent excavations at Hope Cemetery in Worcester in search of buried gravestones.
After a break for lunch, the group will visit one or more cemeteries in town. This program is free and open to the public. For more information about The Association for Gravestone Studies: www.gravestonestudies.org
