Superintendent reports:
Matt D.
First big snow storm on the year. Half of the town was not done up to par. They then spent Wednesday and Thursday doing clean-up. Matt D. wrote up plow routes with milage. Brad Matthews and Brian Farington were called during this storm. VB will reach out to the Ethics Board to see that there is no conflict with him plowing and sitting on the Board. The new truck was put on the road 12/01/2025. There have been some repairs that needed to be done. The board has approved Kurt Fritag or Michael Mankowsky to do the repairs on the new wing plows.
Budget/Grants-
No updates on grants. Matt will be looking at grader to obtain the prices. Once prices are obtained then Tracy will work on obtaining the grant for unpaved roads to pay for grader. Commissioners reviewed bills and signed.
Tracy spoke to Diana about an update and Legal counsel is in favor of Warwick’s stand on the Orange Rd. bill. Diana will let us know when we get the letter to send to NorthEast. Tracy will update once received. Diana will also help to get a letter to get NorthEast to correct the other paving bill that is still outstanding.
Bruce Kilhart shared some concerns related to the last storm. The included transfer station was not plowed in a timely fashion, Why the Dog House was not plowed in a timely fashion, and Icey road conditions on a Saturday.
In response the Ice on the road was handled as soon as the superintendent was made aware. The transfer station is addressed not using overtime hours. The Dog house will be cleared as soon as other priorities have been addressed.
