A meeting of the Warwick Highway Commissioners was held on 9/29/2025 at the Town Hall

Others attending: Tracy Styles/Minutes Manager, Bruce Kilhart, Matthew Dorgan
Meeting called to order at 5:01pm by RC, VB Seconded
Board read through meeting minutes to be approved.
RC Moved that the Meeting Minutes from 9/15/2025 be moved into the permanent record. VB Seconded. All in Favor “Aye” 3-0-0 Passed
Superintendent reports:
Found a screener in Londan Derry NH. The cost to rent would be $2500 per week. Randy’s towing would be willing to do the hauling for $1650 round trip. The other option would be a crusher out of Sutton NH. The cost would be between $4000-$6000. One of the pros would be that all the material would be used and not just some. Once the crushing is done then the road edges can be completed with Warner Brothers. Mike has been working on the grader to be ready for fall dirt road grading. The Culverts that need to be replaced on Beech Hill Rd once the logging is done so that there is no damage to the newly replaced culverts. Kyle B will be back on 10/01/2025. Started making calls for sand and salt for winter. Matt to use his judgement for where to use sand when needed even if not typical. There will be 2 trucks looked at Porter’s and then a decision would be made which one to pursue purchasing.
TD moved to allow Matt to find a crushing plant to do all the millings up to the amount of $6000. RC Seconded. All in Favor “AYE” 3-0-0 passed
The board discussed the Gale Rd Bridge foundation repair. The town Coordinator went to the Selectboard to get approval for the foundation repair. The Selectboard approved having Donald Matthews do the work but has asked for the use of Highway funds to pay for the work done.
RC Moved that no Highway funds or grants are not to be used for the Gale Rd bridge foundation repair. VB Seconded. 2-1-0 TD abstained
Tracy gave update on grants and budget.
Tracy to look into the unpaved roads grant for buying a grader. Matt will look at the prices and then Matt and Tracy will work together to apply for the appropriate funding.
Matt D and Kyle B are working on getting their 4G and Tanker endorsement.
