A meeting of the Warwick Highway Commissioners was held on 1/06/2025 at the Town Hall

Meeting called to order at 4:06pm by Kevin Alden, Vern Seconded
Kevin moved to sign FRCOG bid package paperwork. Vern Seconded. Tracy will get to David Young for the selectboard signoff.
Kevin Motioned to get heads up on bills that are coming in over $2000 before the money is spent. Vern seconded. All in Favor “Aye”
Discuss ensued about the culvert project and moving forward with Gill Engineering
Discussion ensued about plowing and snow removal. There are benefits to the new truck with the wing plow. Tracy to call Kurt Frietag and let him know he is on hold until Matt D does an analysis of the first snow removal with the new Wing blade.
Beech Hill culverts will need to be replaced. There are some that are crushed on the far end. 8 or 9 need to be repaired. Once current project is wrapped up then will move over to Beech Hill to get culverts started.
Driveways are being addressed by Highway due to paving driveways and roads that were left with a small lip of edge.
Matt D will get list of Culverts and drains that may need attention in the spring.
Went through the accomplishments for 2023/2024
Projects on deck for 2024/2025 – Finish Beech Hill Rd culverts, Athol Rd Culvert, Gale Rd Bridge, paving done on the east side of town (around town hall as well), Finish the paving on Rt78 early spring (Massworks), Line painting, Potential Sidewalk from School to Townhall 1/3 mile, general beatification.
Matt D is going to implement using work logs turned in each day by each employee for work tracking and projects.
Tabled – Introduce Robert Croak as 3rd potential Highway Commissioner after next Selectboard Meeting when he is appointed to the 3rd Highway Commissioner on 1/13/2025
Discussion ensued about the personnel policy for the reviews for employees. Matt D. to reach out to David Y. for the personnel policy to see what it has in it for requirements for doing reviews.
Tabled – Mike and Kyle reviews once Matt gets info from David Y. Job description for Truck Driver/Laborer review to be done at home and then will bring back to 1/21/2024 meeting.
Tracy to reach out to David to ask about standards for insurance and information we need to hire new employees or subcontractors.
